In the past couple of years, we and many other sellers have experienced poor holiday sales on Ebay. If isolated to this year, we might surmise that Ebay was a victim of the economic climate. However, a couple of year tough experiences means that we should search for other venues and perform a strategy shift.
We intend to expand our listings on Wensy and on ecrater.
Wensy has produces a significant number of sales for us in the past and we intend to triple our listings within the next couple of months. We now have a couple of thousand listings there, and hope to expand to about 5-6,000 during the first quarter of 2010. We will emphasize lower value cards on Wensy, cards which cannot be sold on Ebay because of the high Ebay and Paypal costs.
At the present we only have minor listings on ecrater, but other sellers are reporting increasing sales on ecrater, so we will be investing in our portfolio for sale there.
The number of successful venues for sportscard sales is narrowing for us. Strictly Bids is not very active. Atomic Mall has only produced one sale, and Bonanzle has produced none. Bluejay has produced a couple of sales. Epier has ceased to produce sales.
Besides Wensy and Erater, we will continue to expand our listings on www.jssportscards.com and www.jssportscardsplus.com. The two websites are now producing the majority of our sales. We also should be initiating early in 2010, a monthly auction, mostly of higher grade, more expensive cards. The auctions will be well advertised in SCD and to our customer base.
By the way, many customers have reported favorably on our addition of the Bing search engine to our sites.
